NUM83R5 — Visual Development, UX/UI and Animation for a Mobile Game

Numbers is a mobile game with snake-like mechanics and a retro-futuristic sci-fi aesthetic. During its development, I was responsible for the complete visual direction, part of the user experience (UX), the entire user interface (UI), and all UI-related animations.

My main responsibilities included:

Creating custom scripts to optimize workflows and support close collaboration with the programming team.

Developing custom shaders and materials to reinforce the game’s visual identity.

Implementing both 2D and 3D animations using DOTween and sprite sheets.

Designing and animating UI elements in After Effects for later integration into Unity, aiming to closely replicate the original motion and timing.

Implementing bilingual localization (Spanish–English), including the in-game interactive tutorial.

Designing and building five unique screens/scenes, each with its own visual identity, integrated layouts, in-out transitions, and carefully tuned visual feedback to ensure a smooth and satisfying user experience.

Creating moodboards, wireframes, flow diagrams, and mockups in Figma to define the structure, logic, and visual language of the project from the concept phase.

Designing all final graphic assets in Photoshop, optimized for performance and memory usage, with a strong focus on reusability and trim-based workflows.

Developing the game logo and store assets, including promotional screenshots, ensuring visual consistency and commercial appeal.

This project allowed me to combine technical and creative skills to deliver a cohesive, polished, and visually engaging user experience tailored for mobile players.
